Product Description
The Combustion Air Unit (Model CAU) from Flue Sentinel, Inc. is
an electronic combustion air intake damper designed to eliminate
the draft caused by homes with negative pressure which pulls unconditioned
air into the home when the fireplace is not in use.
When wired into an electronic ignition system, the CAU automatically
opens when the gas logs are ignited and air is pulled into the firebox,
and automatically closes when the gas logs are turned off. The CAU
remains closed when the fireplace is not in use, eliminating the
customary drafts associated with combustion air intake ducts.
The CAU can be operated via a separate switch when used in millivolt
and manual gas log applications, or in wood-burning applications.
